Razorpay Magic Checkout enables one-click purchase for 120M+ Razorpay users. When paired with Updatrr, every Magic Checkout event triggers an instant WhatsApp message — recovering abandoned carts, confirming COD, and keeping customers updated on their order. Full automation, zero code.

Updatrr integrates with Razorpay's webhook system to receive Magic Checkout events. Abandoned checkouts trigger a WhatsApp recovery flow. COD orders trigger a confirmation request. Successful orders get confirmation and shipping notifications, all sent through your WhatsApp Business number.

Webhook URL

Add this URL as your webhook endpoint. Your API Key is passed as the api_key query parameter.

How to set up the Razorpay Magic Checkout integration

   Get your Updatrr API key

   Shopify Admin → Apps → Updatrr WhatsApp AI Automation → WA API Account → API Key.

   Open Razorpay Dashboard → Webhooks

   Go to Account & Settings → Webhooks → Add New Webhook.

   Enter the Updatrr webhook URL

   Paste the webhook URL shown below (it already includes ?api_key=). Replace YOUR_API_KEY with your key from Step 1.

   Subscribe to events

   Enable payment.failed (for abandoned detection), order.paid, and checkout.abandoned if available.

   Test with a sandbox transaction

   Use Razorpay test mode to fire events and confirm WhatsApp messages appear in Updatrr's activity log.

Frequently asked questions

Does the integration work for non-Magic Checkout Razorpay orders too?

The webhook covers all Razorpay orders, but the Magic Checkout-specific events (pre-fill, one-click) are specifically mapped for enhanced recovery flows.

Can I offer a discount in the Razorpay cart recovery message?

Yes. Configure a Shopify discount code in Updatrr's template builder and it will be included in the recovery WhatsApp message automatically.
